ITA - L’affresco è stato dipinto al centro della controfacciata, sull’ingresso centrale, deturpato dalla collocazione di una cantoria, oggi non più visibile. L’opera è delimitata su tre lati – due stipiti o lesene e un architrave o trabeazione – da una fascia a motivi fogliacei. Al centro è Cristo Giudice, all’interno di una mandorla e circondato da Cherubini; ai suoi lati gli apostoli, distinti dai consueti attributi. Alla sua destra San Pietro, al di sotto una schiera di angeli musicanti, introduce in Paradiso alcuni pontefici, cardinali, vescovi e re. Alla sinistra di Gesù Cristo alcuni demoni, dall’aspetto mostruoso, si impadroniscono di dannati.

ENG - The fresco was painted in the center of the counter-façade, on the central entrance, defaced by the location of a choir, no longer visible today. The work is bordered on three sides - two jambs or pilasters and an architrave or entablature - by a band with leaf motifs. In the center is Christ the Judge, inside an almond and surrounded by cherubs; on its sides the apostles, distinguished by the usual attributes. To his right, St. Peter, below a group of musician angels, introduces some popes, cardinals, bishops and kings to Paradise. To the left of Jesus Christ some monstrous-looking demons take possession of the damned.
